I love my house and I love decorating my house (a passion I've had for many, many years)!!! I'd say the style of my house is eclectic, a mix of family heirlooms and vintage treasures with a twist of modern furniture thrown in. I love decorating with vintage items, I usually look for retro, mid century modern, or cottage style pieces. My kitchen is decorated with a retro/mcm feel, here's a picture of some of my found treasures.....cherry chalkware on the wall, a bird planter with hard plastic flowers and a cute gold base. Check out the flag, it's attached to an old car antenna, I found that treasure while shopping with a friend at Brass Armadillo, my favorite antique store. I'll share more of my kitchen treasures soon. ♥

Up early so I can clean the house before we host our Texas Hold-em group tonight. How should I arrange the two tables??? I love my house but when we entertain a 4-level split is a big pain (where's my open concept house, we could knock out the LVR wall, hmmmmmm.....the DH about fainted when I mentioned that idea!). I've got it, we'll move the kitchen table to the garage and the living room chairs to the office......push the couch back in the LVR and now we can set up 2 long tables, men at one table women at the other. Made dessert and cheese dip, plates out, pizza's here, drinks....we're ready to go! The women played, talked and had a great time and managed to double the blind once I think. I can't believe it, the DH came in 3rd, he's usually the first one out, it was a good night. Everyone's gone by 1:00am, start the clean-up process, we both have our clean-up jobs so it goes quickly.
Still not ready for bed. I finished collecting money pledges tonight for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, I'm excited to turn in my $$$. In honor of a special young lady I decided to collect money this year besides making our annual donation to the Andrea's Angels Team. They're so close to approving a treatment for Andrea I just had to put forth more effort and help raise money to find a CURE.
